Press Membranes & Foil-Handling Systems

Austria Parts & sourcing
Rapha-System—industrial equipment

We source and stock Rapha press membranes and consumables from Rapha-System (Rapha-Systems Handels-GmbH) of Wang, Austria, a specialist in the machines and wear parts used to press 3D thermoplastic furniture films and veneers. If you run a membrane press for foil coating or veneering, we supply the elastomer membrane that forms the pressing surface, the highest-wear part in the line.

We carry both silicone and natural-rubber grades. The silicone membranes handle high heat (MS1 up to about 230C and MS2 up to about 200C) and are the top-selling choice; MS2 is available in 168 cm and 200 cm widths at 3 mm. The natural-rubber membranes (MNK1/MNK2) are rated to about 130C, with MNK2 offered in 170 cm and 200 cm widths and 2.5 mm (vacuum-only presses) or 4 mm thickness. All grades run in presses from vacuum-only up to roughly 6 bar.

Alongside membranes we can supply Rapha protection covers, which let the foil pre-heat evenly without direct contact with the heating plate, preventing wrinkles and gloss defects, plus the broader Rapha line of pin systems, turn-over and handling systems, paternoster storage, and cleaning and finishing equipment for foil-coating cells.

Membranes are manufactured to strict QC with ASTM/ISO-conformant, batch-consistent properties. We hold replacement stock for scheduled changeouts and match membranes to your exact press so a worn membrane never idles a coating line. Send us your press type and pressing width and we typically quote within one business day.

Typical Applications

  • 3D foil (hard-PVC) thermoforming of furniture fronts, doors, and panels in membrane presses
  • Veneer and decorative-surface pressing on foil/veneer membrane presses
  • Vacuum-only membrane pressing of profiled MDF components
  • High-temperature silicone-membrane pressing up to ~200C for demanding foils
  • Foil pre-heating with protection covers to eliminate wrinkles and gloss variation
  • Scheduled wear-part replacement to keep foil-coating and laminating lines running

Rapha-System: Common Questions

It is the flexible silicone or natural-rubber sheet in a membrane press that presses heated foil or veneer down onto a 3D-profiled panel. It is a wear part, so it is replaced periodically to keep surface quality consistent.

Silicone (MS1/MS2) tolerates higher temperatures (up to ~200C) and is the most common choice; natural rubber (MNK1/MNK2) is rated to ~130C and is often used on vacuum-only presses. Tell us your press and process temperature and we will match the right grade and thickness.

Yes. Give us your press make, pressing width and thickness (e.g., 3 mm silicone in 200 cm width) and we will identify the correct Rapha membrane and hold replacement stock for scheduled changeouts.
