We supply Brandenburger high-temperature thermal insulation in the U.S.: the press-platen and heated-tooling insulation that press builders around the world specify as standard. Brandenburger's Insulation Technology division has spent 75-plus years developing heat-protection materials, and its plates are fitted as OEM components by the major press manufacturers including Wemhöner, Siempelkamp, Dieffenbacher, Bürkle and Italpresse.

The range is built around a few asbestos-free material families, each for a different duty. BRA-GLA glass-fiber/thermoset laminates and BRA-GLA SI/3/KA/MP/N variants for high-pressure heat protection; BRA-BOARD HT 4 and HT 175 silicate and magnesium-silicate boards; GL-M and GL-P mica/silicone grades for the highest continuous operating temperatures; KV 3 heat-protection plate; the flexible fluoropolymer-and-glass BRA-FLEX; and the S 4000 / S 4000 HT glass-mat laminates. The common thread is holding compressive strength and insulating performance under the sustained heat and pressure of industrial press operation.

These materials go under and around press platens and heated tooling in laminating and coating lines, and in the rubber/tire, plastic injection-molding, and mold-making industries as well as wood-panel and furniture production. We can supply plates cut and machined to your platen dimensions and hole patterns.
