We source and stock heating- and cooling-platen technology from Busse Heizplattentechnik GmbH of Espelkamp, Germany, a specialist manufacturer that has built made-to-specification heating plates and press tools since 1986. Busse builds to order rather than mass-produces, so we work from your press make, plate size, temperature, and heating medium to specify the right plate the first time.

The Busse range covers the full spectrum of heated pressing. Electric platens embed resistance elements in an aluminum or steel body for fast, zoned heat, with solid-aluminum versions running up to roughly 450C. Medium-heated platens circulate thermal oil, water, or steam through internal channels for gentle, highly uniform heat across large surfaces and for cooling duty. Hybrid plates combine both methods to pair electric heat-up speed with liquid-medium evenness, holding temperature uniformity to about +/-0.5C on large working surfaces.

Beyond flat platens, we supply flexible heating plates for curved edges and 3D forming, electric heating bars for veneer and plastic-edge bonding, heating tables for solid-surface and nonwoven work, and temperature-control cabinets and regulators for Busse and third-party equipment. Busse also manufactures aluminum and steel press tools and multiplex support moulds, and produces drop-in replacement platens for common veneer presses including Bürkle, Ott, Hofer, Joos, and Italpresse.

As a U.S. distributor we handle new equipment, spare parts, and repair, and we source pre-owned units where it makes sense. Because these plates are engineered to spec, we help gather the up-front details (plate dimensions, connection layout, wattage or medium, and target temperature) so the finished platen delivers even heat and clean, consistent press results across woodworking, composites, polyurethane, solid-surface, glass/PV, and automotive applications.
