Its type numbers, 6027, 2103, 8647 and the rest, are widely used as shorthand in specifications.
Solenoid valves are the highest-turnover fluid control item in most plants, and they fail at the coil or the seat rather than the body. A coil cooked by continuous duty and a seat hardened by aggressive media present identically from outside: the valve simply stops shifting reliably. Both are cheaper to hold on the shelf than to diagnose under pressure.
The range covers direct-acting, servo-assisted and pilot-operated types. Direct-acting valves work at zero differential pressure, which matters more often than people expect, while servo-assisted types need a minimum pressure differential to shift and will behave erratically below it.
Process valves cover globe, angle-seat and diaphragm bodies, usually paired with a control head carrying position feedback and pilot solenoids in one unit. On hygienic duty the seal material and surface finish matter as much as the flow path, and the wrong elastomer will pass CIP once and harden.
Valve islands collapse the wiring between a bank of valves and the controller onto a single network connection, which cuts both installation labor and the number of terminations that can fail.
Where a Bürkert type has been superseded we will identify the current equivalent rather than quote a discontinued number, which is a common problem on machines more than a decade old.
