Request a QuoteA hydraulic accumulator stores energy and absorbs shock, and it does both through a gas charge separated from the oil by a bladder, diaphragm or piston. When the separating element fails or the pre-charge leaks away, the system loses its shock absorption and pressure spikes start propagating into the rest of the circuit.
Pre-charge pressure is not a fit-and-forget setting. It should be checked on a schedule, because a slowly falling charge changes the accumulator's behavior long before it stops working.
