Request a QuoteThe press pad sits behind the press plate and distributes pressure evenly across the platen face. It is a woven or braided construction of steel wire and heat-resistant fiber, and it compresses slightly on every cycle.
Pads fail gradually. Compression set builds up, pressure distribution goes uneven, and the result reads as gloss variation, patchy cure or thickness deviation across the panel rather than an obvious defect. That is why laminators replace them on a schedule instead of on failure.
