The high-tech Brandenburger KV® 3 material is a heat protection plate bound with high-quality thermoset polymers and reinforced with special fine glass fibers.
Special material characteristics:
- Excellent Dimensional Stability
- High Long-Term Temperature Resistance
- Good Insulation Properties
- Exceptionally High Compressive Strength
- Coefficient of Expansion Similar to that of Steel
Areas of application:
As a heat protection plate, KV® 3 is used wherever mechanical stress is complemented by extraordinarily high thermal stress and material requirements. In many applications, KV® 3 is combined with other heat protection plates to form a heat shield. Possible areas of application are piston, frame and pressure plate insulation.
